ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Deborah J. Holliday, MSW, Vice Chairwoman of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in administrative dispute resolutions.

With 17 years of professional experience, Ms. Holliday serves as the New York Vice Chairwoman for the APFA, the largest independent labor union in the United States with over 18,000 members. With expertise in relationship strategy, she represents NY flight attendants and advocates for the fair treatment of all APFA members. Ms. Holliday's personal integrity and her experience as a flight attendant prepared her for this position and fuels her passionate pursuit of justice.

In 1985 Ms. Holliday received her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In 2006, she graduated with honors and received her Masters in Social Work from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the North American Association of Christians in Social Work. Ms. Holliday is an active advocate in her community and works with New Jersey non-profits to bring a state-wide awareness to the issue of bullying in schools, neighborhoods and the workplace. She is the featured speaker for the bullying awareness campaign.

In 2009, she founded BullyAlarm.com - a self-funded, non-profit committed to raising awareness about the "social terrorism" known as bullying through their campaign to See It – Say It – Stop It! Bullying is a behavior not a person.

In Dec, 2009, the NJ State Commission on Bullying found that policies are not enough to combat this problem – we must move from policies to programs that effectively empower us to produce positive outcomes.

On August 11, 2010, the Department of Education held the first summit on the issue of bullying in our schools. She was excited at the prospect that this would begin the national movement to proactively approach this issue - but all she heard was the need to collect more data and do more research! This was frusterating to say the very least! Meanwhile, the bully’s targets suffer daily harassment and indignation causing long-term personal effects that impact society as a whole.
